When does the after school chug take place?

The chug is one hour per week. I teach the exact same class three times each week:
Monday: 6:00–7:00 PMTuesday: 6:00–7:00 PMWednesday: 6:00–7:00 PMTeens can join whichever day works best for them, either in person in Ra’anana or on Zoom, and they can switch from week to week. So if Monday doesn’t work one week, they can simply join Tuesday or Wednesday instead.All sessions are also recorded, and the recording is sent out on Thursday in case they miss both classes.

When does the program begin and how long does it last?

The program begins the week after Sukkot, with the first Monday session on October 5th and the first Wednesday session on October 7th.
The program typically runs for 6–8 months, but there is flexibility if your plans change. See the full cancellation details at the bottom of the form for more information.

Is the chug online, in-person or hybrid?

Both.
Teens from all over Israel join, and many participate on Zoom, but the program is also offered in person in Ra’anana at:
Neve Zemer Community Center, 15 Moshe Vilensky
Some teens from places like Jerusaelm, Beit Shemesh and Modiin choose a hybrid option, joining in person for a day or two and the remaining days on Zoom.  There are occasionally carpools to bring kids in but those are organized by the parents

Does my teen need investing experience?

No experience is needed at all.
Many teens join with zero investing knowledge, and we build everything from the ground up together.The program is based on the curriculum I used at Tel Aviv University, but adjusted for teens and for teens that are already interested in the market or actively investing this program will help deepener their knowledge and give them more tools and strategies to help them with investing for years to come.

Is the program only in English?

The program is taught in English, but in every group there are usually several non-native English speakers join and do really well.

We learn everything from the ground up together, so investing terms and concepts are introduced step by step through hands-on examples and activities.

If your teen is even somewhat comfortable listening in English, they’ll be able to follow along and understand the concepts.

My child is on the young side, is this still appropriate for him?

The program has teens of all ages, with common ages around 12–16, though both younger and older students have joined and done great and really enjoyed it.

My child is on the younger side?  Is this right for them?

The best indicator isn't age but curiosity.

Even if younger than the average, if your child has shown even a spark of interest in money, small business, or has started asking questions about companies or stocks, there will likely really enjoy the program and do great it in it.

We learn all concepts from the ground up and no prior knowledge or experience is needed.

What happens if my teen misses a session?

No problem.  Teens have the option to join either Mon or Wed session and can switch from week to week.  
If neither option works out, every session is recorded and sent out on Thursday of each week, so teens can catch up quickly.
I also personally help students who miss sessions to make sure they absorb the material.
After the chug, students keep lifetime access to recordings.

Do you offer sibling discounts?

Yes.
If registering more than one child, the second sibling receives 10% off the cost of the program.

Can I cancel during the year?

Accepted Answer

We want teens to have time to make sure the program is a good fit for them. During October, November and December, you can cancel at any point and will not be charged for future months. Any month that has already started is non-refundable.

From January 1st onward, we ask families to commit for the remainder of the program, as it is generally not possible to fill an open spot with a new student once the program is well underway. Payment is therefore required through the end of the program, which typically runs until May or June.
