Is the stock market doomed?
Answers to the 3 biggest questions freaking everyone out.
Read time: 4 min

1. Is it a good or horrible time to invest now? And why?
The stock market is amazingly resilient….
Despite every global catastrophe you can think of, World War II, the banking collapse, 9/11, the stock market has STILL gone up 10% per year on avg. for the last 95 years.
It has ALWAYS rewarded patient investors and reached new highs.
Example - If you invested during the 2008 market crash, every dollar would be up almost 900%! For most, those would be life changing returns.
Takeaway - Don't get caught up in the headlines, investing during a crash has historically paid off.
2. A guru said the market will go down 20% more, will it ever recover?
Heard the expression, a broken clock is right twice a day?
Here are tweets from financial guru Rich Dad Poor Dad Robert Kiyosaki.
He calls out incorrectly time and again market crashes in 2011, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021.

If you listen to all the doom and gloom naysayers, it's never the right time to invest and you will completely miss out.

The previous bull market lasted for 12 years, the stock market continued to climb higher & higher despite thousands of articles, video, podcasts saying everything will crash forever.

Takeaway - Don't rely on the advice of "gurus". Look at the market's fantastic historical performance which is a much better indicator for its future.
3. If I am new to investing what's your advice?
1) Diversify – Instead of trying to buy the perfect stock, buy an index of the stock market such as the Nasdaq, S&P, Tel Aviv 35 which will give your portfolio broad diversification.

Don't invest all of your money in a rush, rather invest slowly using dollar cost averaging (DCA).
2) Invest like you are planting a tree - Start small, and give your money time to grow.
Patience is key. Use money that can be put into the market for 12-18 months, so it has time to sprout.
